The world is full of belts. Don’t underestimate them as an accessory. To have only one belt as THE belt that you wear with every single work outfit, is not a good idea. And to have one black belt for cool toned outfits, and one brown belt for warm toned outfits – well, that’s what men do. The belt can be considered like a piece of jewelry. It is almost as much part of the outfit as the garments they sit on. To accessorize with various belts can give a work outfit a whole new attitude. When ever you try on business suits and other clothes in a store, bring many belts with you to test different looks. When the sales lady sees you heading for the fitting room laden with a heavy pile of clothes, and asks: “Can I help you with anything?” You ought to answer: “Yes, please bring me 7 belts!”
If I came home to your house and checked out your business wardrobe, and found one black belt, and one brown belt, I would take you straight to the mall. I want to find at least 10 belts in your closet. When you shop, take the time to discover what types of belts you look good in – thin, wide, waist belt, hip belt, big buckle, small buckle, animal skin, etc. Should we all have one separate belt intended for each work outfit…….maybe.
